The Dark Knight Movie Review!

.

The Dark Knight movie is so very long & boring that I almost wanted to leave the cinema. Sad to say this, once again, I'm not quite understand why everyone is giving this movie a very solid review. I mean it's an ok type of movie but not as great or fantastic as what everyone is saying. The movie has already obtained a record for the highest opening weekend with over US$158 million surpassing previous record held by Spider-Man 3 last year which earned more than US$151 million which is so shocking.

Official Synopsis: With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon & District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy & forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero & vigilante.

The only thing which I like most from the movie is the performances by both Heath Ledger (Joker) & Aaron Eckhart (Harvey Dent). It's really a rare occasion to see both good actors working together on screen & in this case, in a comic book movie. I believe I miss Heath Ledger even more after watching this movie.

As for the story & action wise, I found that it's totally pointless & unnecessary especially in the beginning part of the movie. The middle is still ok but as it goes on, you can feel that the movie is draggy & just kind of wish for it to stop as soon as possible. I wouldn't want to give away spoiler so I will not share the story here.

Overall, this movie just doesn't work for me. To be honest, Batman Begins is much more better. Anyway, I believe a third sequel is already on the way, so for those loyal fans, it's a good news. As for others who is seeking for a serious kind of like a Godfather type of movie but only this time the good guy wears bat suit & the bad guy wears make up, this is the right movie for you. Other than that, you might want to spend your money on other movies out there.
