Kung Fu Panda Movie Review!

.

Last weekend we managed to catch Kung Fu Panda & I'm so glad that we did cause the movie is so awesome! We never really had a great animation movie since the released of Horton Hears a Who & that was like a few months back. Luckily Kung Fu Panda delivered & does not turn out to be a major dissapointment.

The movie begins with Po who is the biggest fan of kung fu & is unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy. Alongside with the legendary Furious Five featuring Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper & Monkey under the leadership of Master Shifu, it is up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat of the vengeful & treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung.

What I love most about Kung Fu Panda is the simple story line, background art design & the music compose by Hans Zimmer & John Powell.

As for the characters animation, well, it is not the best we've seen so far but it still looks visually great. The kung fu action sequence is fantastic & it got some dark elements in it as well which makes it unique. The audiences in the cinema were basically having a great time & they were laughing so hard the entire movie.

Here comes the bad part. There are 2 things that doesn't work out for me in this movie. The first will be the scene involving master Shifu kicking Po out of the school. I found it abit cruel on how master Shifu treated Po by throwing him off the stair. It's just too painless to watch! Is it just me being over sensitive here? Hmmm.....

Secondly, you hardly get to hear the voices of Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan or any of the Furious Five characters. I know I know, by giving them too much dialogues, it might slow down the pace of the movie but still, I was hoping to hear more from them.

Overall, Kung Fu Panda is a fun, entertaining & enjoyable animated movie for everyone from young kids to adult. Speaking of young kids, parents who wish to bring their younger children need to be warn as some material or scenes in the movie contains certain form of violence. You might find that it's not suitable for your children.

Kung Fu Panda might not be the best if compare with other animation movie such as Disney/Pixar Finding Nemo but it's certainly one that you will remember for a long period of time. Oh yar, there is a few seconds scene after the credit ends. Nothing much but you may check it out if you want.
